Returns & Refunds Policy

Last Updated: August 26, 2026

At Patterson Stitch, we want you to be happy with your purchase. Because we sell both ready-made merchandise and products created specifically for individual customers, return and refund eligibility depends on the type of product purchased.

Please review this policy carefully before placing your order.

1. Ready-Made / Non-Custom Products

Eligible unused and non-customized merchandise may be returned within 30 days of delivery, subject to the conditions below.

To qualify for a return, merchandise must:

  • Be unworn and unused
  • Be unwashed
  • Be in its original condition
  • Have original tags attached, when applicable
  • Be free from stains, odors, pet hair, smoke, deodorant, makeup, or other signs of use
  • Include original packaging when reasonably applicable
  • Not be marked Final Sale

Proof of purchase may be required.

Patterson Stitch reserves the right to decline a return when merchandise does not meet these conditions.

2. Custom & Personalized Products

ALL SALES OF CUSTOM OR PERSONALIZED PRODUCTS ARE FINAL, EXCEPT WHEN PATTERSON STITCH MAKES A VERIFIED ERROR OR THE PRODUCT IS DEFECTIVE.

Custom products are made specifically according to the customer's selections, artwork, specifications, or instructions and therefore generally cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded.

Custom products may include:

  • Custom T-shirts
  • Custom hoodies and sweatshirts
  • Custom pants and joggers
  • Custom hats
  • Embroidered products
  • Screen-printed products
  • DTF-printed products
  • Sublimated products
  • Vinyl-decorated products
  • Personalized merchandise
  • Products containing names or numbers
  • Customer-designed merchandise
  • Products made using customer-supplied artwork
  • Other made-to-order merchandise

3. Patterson Stitch Production Errors

If Patterson Stitch makes the mistake, we will work to make it right.

Examples may include:

  • We printed or embroidered the wrong design
  • We produced the wrong size compared with the confirmed order
  • We produced the wrong garment color
  • We misspelled text that was correctly submitted and approved by the customer
  • We placed the design in a materially incorrect location
  • The product arrives with a qualifying manufacturing or decoration defect
  • The completed product materially differs from the approved proof because of our production error

Depending on the circumstances, Patterson Stitch may provide an appropriate remedy such as:

  • Repair
  • Reproduction
  • Replacement
  • Store credit
  • Refund

We may choose the appropriate remedy based on the nature of the issue and applicable law.

4. Customer-Submitted Errors

Patterson Stitch is not responsible for errors contained in information submitted or approved by the customer.

This includes errors involving:

  • Spelling
  • Names
  • Numbers
  • Dates
  • Artwork
  • Logos
  • Colors
  • Garment selections
  • Sizes
  • Quantities
  • Design placement
  • Customer instructions

For example, if you submit “JHON” instead of “JOHN” and approve the design with “JHON,” Patterson Stitch is not responsible when the approved spelling is reproduced.

Please carefully review your order and artwork before approving it.

5. Artwork Approval

When Patterson Stitch provides a proof or mockup for approval, the customer is responsible for reviewing it carefully.

Please verify:

  • Spelling
  • Grammar
  • Names
  • Numbers
  • Dates
  • Artwork
  • Approximate placement
  • Garment selection
  • Colors
  • Quantities
  • Other customization details

Once you approve a proof and production begins, the approved design is considered authorized for production.

A product generally will not qualify for a refund solely because the customer later changes their mind about something that appeared on an approved proof.

6. Sizing

Customers are responsible for selecting the correct garment size.

Sizing may vary between manufacturers, garment styles, and brands.

We strongly recommend reviewing the applicable size chart before placing an order.

Custom Products

Custom products generally cannot be returned or exchanged because the customer selected the wrong size.

Ready-Made Products

Eligible non-customized apparel may qualify for a size exchange or return if it meets the conditions described in this policy.

7. Color & Production Variations

Colors displayed on phones, tablets, monitors, and other screens may differ slightly from the finished product.

Garments may also have minor differences between manufacturing batches.

Decoration processes such as embroidery, DTF, screen printing, sublimation, and vinyl may produce reasonable differences from digital artwork.

Normal variations in:

  • Color
  • Thread
  • Texture
  • Garment construction
  • Print appearance
  • Embroidery appearance
  • Design positioning
  • Fabric

are not automatically considered defects.

We evaluate reported production issues individually.

8. Customer-Supplied Garments

Patterson Stitch may accept customer-owned garments for customization.

Customer-supplied garments are decorated at the customer's risk.

Decoration processes involve equipment, needles, heat, pressure, ink, adhesives, chemicals, and other production methods. Although we take reasonable care, damage can occasionally occur during customization.

Customers should not provide sentimental, vintage, irreplaceable, or unusually valuable garments for customization.

If Patterson Stitch negligently damages a customer-supplied garment, contact us so we can evaluate the situation and determine an appropriate remedy.

Any remedy will be subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the order.

9. Damaged or Defective Items

Please inspect your merchandise promptly after delivery.

If you believe your product is damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact Patterson Stitch as soon as possible.

Please provide:

  • Your name
  • Order number
  • Description of the problem
  • Clear photographs of the product
  • Clear photographs showing the defect or error
  • Photograph of the packaging if shipping damage occurred

We may request additional photographs or information before approving a remedy.

Do not discard the product until your claim has been resolved.

10. Reporting an Order Problem

We ask customers to report visible production errors, incorrect products, or damage within 7 days of delivery whenever reasonably possible.

Reporting an issue promptly allows us to investigate and resolve the problem more effectively.

Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable consumer-protection laws.

11. Cancellations

Ready-Made Orders

Contact us as quickly as possible if you need to cancel an order.

If the order has not entered fulfillment or shipped, we may be able to cancel it.

Once an order has shipped, the standard return process applies if the merchandise is eligible.

Custom Orders

Custom orders should be canceled before production begins.

Once Patterson Stitch begins work such as:

  • Artwork preparation
  • Artwork modification
  • Digitizing
  • Screen preparation
  • Printing
  • Embroidery
  • Cutting
  • Pressing
  • Material preparation
  • Garment decoration

the order may no longer qualify for cancellation or a full refund.

If cancellation is possible after work has started, completed work, setup costs, materials, digitizing, artwork services, or other incurred expenses may be deducted from any refund.

12. Change-of-Mind Returns

Custom merchandise cannot generally be returned because:

  • You changed your mind
  • You no longer need the merchandise
  • You don't like the size you selected
  • You selected the wrong color
  • You approved the design and later decided you wanted something different
  • The event for which you purchased the merchandise was canceled
  • You found another product you prefer

Eligible ready-made merchandise may still qualify under our standard return requirements.

13. Final Sale Items

Certain products may be marked Final Sale.

Final Sale merchandise generally cannot be returned or exchanged unless it arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or applicable law requires otherwise.

Final Sale products may include:

  • Clearance merchandise
  • Heavily discounted merchandise
  • Limited releases
  • Certain collectibles
  • Personalized products
  • Custom products

The product page or checkout may identify applicable Final Sale merchandise.

14. Collectibles & Gifts

Eligible Collectibles & Gifts may be returned under our standard non-custom return policy unless the product is marked Final Sale or is otherwise excluded.

Collectibles should be returned with all original:

  • Packaging
  • Tags
  • Inserts
  • Accessories
  • Components

Opened collectible packaging, damaged packaging, missing components, or evidence of use may make an item ineligible for return.

15. Hygiene-Sensitive Products

For health and hygiene reasons, certain merchandise may not be eligible for return after opening or use.

Any such restrictions will be identified where reasonably appropriate and will remain subject to applicable law.

16. Return Shipping

Unless the return results from a verified Patterson Stitch error or qualifying defect, customers are generally responsible for return shipping costs.

Original shipping charges are generally non-refundable unless required by law or the return resulted from our error.

If Patterson Stitch confirms that we sent an incorrect or qualifying defective item, we may provide return instructions or a prepaid shipping label when a return is necessary.

Please do not send merchandise back without first contacting Patterson Stitch.

17. Refunds

Once an eligible return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the status of the return.

Approved refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method.

Banks and payment providers may require additional processing time before the refund appears in your account.

Shipping charges, rush charges, design charges, digitizing fees, setup charges, and other services already performed may be non-refundable unless the refund results from a Patterson Stitch error or applicable law requires otherwise.

18. Exchanges

For eligible ready-made products, the fastest exchange procedure may be to contact Patterson Stitch so we can confirm availability of the replacement product.

Custom and personalized merchandise generally cannot be exchanged unless Patterson Stitch made a verified production error or the product has a qualifying defect.

19. Lost, Stolen or Missing Packages

If tracking indicates that a package was delivered but you cannot locate it, please:

  1. Verify the shipping address on your order.
  2. Check around the delivery location.
  3. Check with household members, neighbors, front desks, or mailrooms when applicable.
  4. Contact the shipping carrier.
  5. Contact Patterson Stitch if additional assistance is needed.

Carrier investigations or claims may be required before a replacement or refund can be considered.

Patterson Stitch is not automatically responsible for packages lost or stolen after confirmed delivery, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

20. Wrong Shipping Address

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.

If you notice an address error, contact us immediately.

We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after fulfillment has begun.

Additional shipping expenses caused by an incorrect or incomplete customer-provided address may be the customer's responsibility.

21. Refused & Undeliverable Packages

Packages returned because of an incorrect address, refusal, failure to collect, or another customer-related delivery issue may require additional shipping charges before being sent again.

Custom merchandise returned as undeliverable does not become eligible for a refund merely because delivery was unsuccessful.

22. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

If you have a problem with an order, please contact Patterson Stitch first so we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve it.

Submitting a payment dispute does not change the terms applicable to custom products or eliminate amounts legitimately owed for products or services provided.

Nothing in this section limits rights available to consumers under applicable law or payment-card rules.

23. Return Abuse & Fraud

Patterson Stitch reserves the right, to the extent permitted by law, to refuse returns or restrict purchasing privileges when we reasonably determine that there is evidence of:

  • Return fraud
  • Altered merchandise
  • False damage claims
  • Excessive or abusive returns
  • Chargeback abuse
  • Fraudulent transactions

24. How to Request a Return or Report a Problem
